Return Visits

Joyce Missick

Welcome back to the IAT Center! The information contained in this fact sheet has been provided based on feedback from many patients.

Points to remember

You are expected to remain here for two weeks. The morning blood draws takes place Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 7:45 AM. Complete a “status report” for Dr. Clement and deposit it in the box provided. Any medical reports for Dr. Clement can be given to Lynn or Nurse Henley.

The collection time for morning injections is 9:45 AM.

You will be scheduled for a second blood draw on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Be sure to check your injection bag for a note instructing you to “Return at 1:45 PM”. When blood is drawn at this time, you automatically return at 3:30 PM to collect injections for the evening. When you are scheduled for an afternoon blood draw, there should be at least one hour between the last morning injection and the 1:45 PM blood draw.

Should you have any timing problems in relation to this, please speak with Lee Malone who works in the Lab. Lee can be reached by telephone, if necessary.

You will be scheduled for an office visit with the IAT Staff Physician within three days of your return so please be sure to check the notice board. Give the physician a list of current medications and supplements. See Lynn Austin if you have not been given an appointment by Wednesday. If you would like an appointment with Dr. Clement, please speak to Lynn.

Important! If you file insurance claims or plan to do so, or if you need a statement for tax purposes, be sure to see Andrea Saunders on the first or second day of arrival at IAT. Andrea will advise you how to proceed. If completed insurance forms are not ready by the time of your discharge, they will be mailed to you. Also, collect a Customs Letter from Andrea Saunders. No extra injections are provided for returning patients on departure.

Bring thermoses to the Lab by Monday of the week of your scheduled departure and complete a Notice of Departure form and submit this form to Lee Malone in the Lab.

You’ll need to collect computer printout labels from Joyce Missick the day prior to your departure or on the morning of your departure.

You’ll also need to advise Louis as to when you plan to collect your thermoses from the Lab.

And please don’t hesitate to ask us about any of these points!

Joan was diagnosed in April, 1979, after her salivary gland was excised. She came to the IAT Clinic following extensive radiation. Her prognosis was "terminal" by a well known head & neck surgeon in NYC. He gave her three options: 30% chance of survival with radical surgery of the face, jaw & tongue. Less percent with less radical surgery, or extension of life for a short period  of time with radiation, only. She chose radiation, keeping her face in tact & began the IAT treatment in September of 1979...Now, 32 years later, she continues to be cancer free , thanks to the Immuno Augmentative Therapy. - J.W.

“In March 2000 I was diagnosis with mesothelioma and given a few months to live. A week later my husband brought me from England, traveling in a wheelchair, to the Cancer Clinic in the Bahamas. Within a few weeks of the treatment I was much stronger, swimming in the sea and going for long walks on the beach. I have remained completely fit and healthy since then. My last 3 annual CT scans showed no growth of the cancer-HOORAY!” - S.E.
